Smt K.K Shylaja
Minister for Health & Family Welfare
Kerala is known for its remarkable achievements in health indicators and the State health system has pioneered various innovations for improving health service delivery. The Government of Kerala has initiated various programs aimed at strengthening health systems for ensuring universal access to affordable health services. In order to bring about improvements in implementation of various health programs, evidence based research aimed at supporting policy making is necessary.
The State Health System Resource Centre Kerala (SHSRCK) is established to contribute and strengthen research and evaluation of various aspects of the health system and provide technical support for improving the public health system in the State. The main mandate of the SHSRCK is to support the state health system in programme planning, strategy development, innovation and change management. SHSRCK shall handhold the implementation of new strategies and scaling up of successful innovations in the State. I wish SHSRCK will be able to make a significant contribution in building up a responsive public health system by carrying out all the necessary interventions required to bring in systemic change in the health sector of the State.
